“Dare to Be
When a new day begins, dare to smile gratefully.
When there is darkness, dare to be the first to shine a light.
When there is injustice, dare to be the first to condemn it.
When something seems difficult, dare to do it anyway.
When life seems to beat you down, dare to fight back.
When there seems to be no hope, dare to find some.
When you’re feeling tired, dare to keep going.
When times are tough, dare to be tougher.
When love hurts you, dare to love again.
When someone is hurting, dare to help them heal.
When another is lost, dare to help them find the way.
When a friend falls, dare to be the first to extend a hand.
When you cross paths with another, dare to make them smile.
When you feel great, dare to help someone else feel great too.
When the day has ended, dare to feel as you’ve done your best.
Dare to be the best you can –
At all times, Dare to be!”

ADVICE TO ALL GENTLEMEN….Joe Ninson (0246555761)
A queen doesn’t want swag;she wants class.Learn to have a life, don’t live other people’s life. Most guys don’t have a job but they know all the party joints. They have been to all the clubs and birthday functions. They don’t read books that can change their lives. Some don’t even have a bank account and don’t even know what a seminar is.Some go to church just to charge their phones or because the Pastor will say hug your neighbour at the end of the service and then he will search for the prettiest and well endowed girls; they don’t listen to the Pastor.I don’t know how that adds value to one’s life. You can’t sleep with all the girls and go scot free;you can’t waste peopl’s lives and think yours will be spared. You can’t make women cry and think you will always smile.A man reaps exactly what he sows.
Being a ‘Big Boy’ is not in wearing pencil trousers, sunshades, holding Blackberry, iphone, ipad or Galaxy, and then cross your legs.Being a ‘Big Boy’ means when there is a need and people are looking for the one who can solve or handle it,you’ll be the one.Even when they call your number and don’t get you, they come home looking 4 you-just like David (1Sam.16:14-23). Being a ‘Big Boy’ means being RELEVANT and not a LIABILITY!Use your time to read good books, work on yourself as an individual-especially if you are single.Attend life changing seminars, sit with scholars and not people who discuss football as if it’s their calling.Be like Jesus who even at the age of 12 was found seated amongst scholars (Luke.2:42-47).Be with people who want to go somewhere;sit with kings and add value to your life.
Your queen should be proud of you and not being laughed at because all her female friends have dated you before.Having numerous girlfriends has never and will never be an achievement.Achieve socially, academically and financially.Above all, love the Lord GREATLY with all your heart and might and He will love you too.Never forget also that any man can get a woman but not every man can get a wife. The true nature of a wife is from God alone.(Prov.19:14).
Ever wonder what would happen if we treated our Bible like we treat our cell phone?
What if we carried it around in our purses or pockets?
What if we flipped through it several times a day?
What if we turn back to go for it if we forgot it?
What if we use it to receive messages from the text?
What if we treated it like we couldn’t live without it?
What if we gave it to kids as gifts?
What if we used it when we traveled?
What if we used it in case of emergency?
This is something to make you go …hmm… where is my Bible?
Oh, one more thing, unlike our cell phones, we don’t have to worry about our Bibles being disconnect because Jesus already paid the bills.
Finally, the Bible is never out of coverage area.
Remember God loves you so much.
Please read the Bible everyday.
Don’t forget to smile because it keeps friendship alive.

Massive EXPLOSION from
thursday’s reading: It was by
women that Solomon the wise
fell away from God. O, what a
mighty fall. 1 Kings 11:1 begins
with a lament! “Solomon loved many foreign
women!” . . . they swayed his
heart to other gods and his
heart was not with Yahweh
(cf 1 Kings 11:4). . . . He became
a worshipper of foreign gods (cf 1 Kings 11:5). The sexual
power is a great gift of God,
but it is by the same power
out of control that wise people
become most stupid, and most
souls fall into hell. Indeed once born, no human person is free
from the combat of the sexual
passion. God is not a respecter
of persons, neither is sexual
passion. It converted David
from faithfulness to an adulterer and murder. It turns
a man into that animal called
rapist. With the other deadly
sins, the devil goes fishing
with a hook, but with lust, he
goes with net! (Ven. Lois of Granada) Aquinas comments:
this is the passion whose
water quenches the fire of
reason! The saints have
infallibly taught that prayer
and flight are the only remedies. This is the province
in which the brave die, but the
weak fly to fight another day
(St Alphonsus). Solomon did
not fly from the occasion,
rather he gathered women like flies! In this war all the
senses must fly: the eye is the
first to fly from temptation
(do not look at a tempting
sight). The ear has to fly from
hearing seduction (guard your phone, delete some numbers).
The tongue must fly from
drink; for many drink pushes
the soul through the gates of
lust to embrace errors. The
sense of touch has to fly from careless play and indecent
touching both of self and
others. The sense of smell has
to fly too from odors or those
perfumes that set fire to the
passions. After all these we must pray and under pain of
death NEVER give up or fail to
return to the battle line. Lust
has destroyed so much. Lust is
responsible for the greater
population of Hell: “Most souls fall into Hell because of sins of
the 6th commandment” (Our
Lady of Fatima). unless we fly
in a HEROIC DEGREE, we will
become SLAVES of lust. Safe
A man went to a barbershop
to have his hair cut and
his beard trimmed.
As the barber began to work,
they began to have a good
conversati on. They talked about so many
things and various subjects.
When they eventually
touched on the subject of God,
the barber said:
“I don’t believe that God exists.” “Why do you say that?” asked
the customer. “Well, you just have to go out
in the street to
realize that God doesn’t exist.
Tell me, if God exists, would
there be so many sick people?
Would there be abandoned children? If God existed, there
would be neither suffering nor
pain. I can’t imagine a loving
God who would allow all of
these things.” The customer thought for a
moment, but didn’t
respond because he didn’t
want to start an argument. The barber finished his job and
the customer left
the shop. Just after he left the
barbershop , he saw a man in the street with long, stringy,
dirty hair and an untrimmed
beard. He looked dirty and
unkempt. The customer turned back and
entered the barber shop again
and he said to the barber: “You
know what? Barbers do not
exist.” “How can you say that?”
asked the surprised barber.
“I am here, and I am a barber.
And I just worked on you!” “No!” the customer
exclaimed. “Barbers don’t exist
because if they did, there
would be no people with dirty
long hair and untrimmed
beards, like that man outside.” “Ah, but barbers DO exist! ”
answered the barber.
“What happens, is, people do
not come to me.” “Exactly!” – affirmed the customer. “That’s the
point! God, too, DOES exist!
What happens, is, people don’t
go to Him and do not look for
Him. That’s why
there’s so much pain and suffering in the world.”
